Donte DiVincenzo
DiVincenzo provided Minnesota with much-needed scoring off the bench on Thursday’s win, sinking five three-pointers – his second-highest total ever this season and helping increase Minnesota’s three point shooting to 46.9% from beyond the arc. DiVincenzo has now hit multiple threes in six out of seven games since All-Star break.
In the first quarter, the Timberwolves established an early lead with eight of 15 3-point attempts by Anthony Edwards – including four made by Anthony himself! However, Oklahoma City recovered in the second half and held onto its advantage entering the fourth quarter by seven points; yet once again the Wolves used their depth and took advantage of 16 turnovers from them to seize control.
DiVincenzo has found success as an everyday player for the Timberwolves and is a vital cog in their offense. He has scored in double figures in both of his most recent games while his 5.2 assists per game are the highest total on the team. Furthermore, this Wisconsin native stands out with strong defensive skills as a good rebounder who averages 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game during his time here.
Chet Holmgren
