Jokic finished with 36 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists for Denver in this matchup, while Blake Griffin of Los Angeles posted 23 points and 12 rebounds while Michael Porter Jr had 17 points and Christian Braun chipped in 11 on Denver’s side.

Even after missing two regular season games due to a right shoulder sprain, Murray returned to Denver’s starting lineup and was instrumental in their win this game.

Murray made some signature drives early on before breaking through for several fast break points and score.

Denver was without many of its key players but managed to extend its lead past 20 points with approximately eight minutes left in regulation time.

Denver coach David Adelman showed no disrespect toward Los Angeles when he decided to put Nikola Jokic back into the game late in the fourth.

Nikola Jokic posted his career-high 55 points – highlighted by two six-point runs during the third quarter – as the Denver Nuggets defeated Los Angeles Clippers 130-116 and extended their winning streak. It marked Jokic’s fourth 50-point game overall; however, this victory marked the first time his team prevailed after such feat.

Jokic often makes key plays at just the right time, and this game was no exception. With just over one second remaining in regulation and trying to tie the score at 99-99, he attempted a last-ditch 3-point attempt over Ivica Zubac with clock ticking down; unfortunately it sailed over the rim but Gordon quickly rushed over and grabbed the rebound for Denver – giving them their sixth consecutive victory!

The Clippers were powerless to contain 7-foot Serbian, who was unstoppable on both ends of the court. He not only scored but was active defensively as well and contributed six assists and shot 5-for-6 from three-point range.

As Denver struggled early in the second half, Jokic helped them come from seven points down and take an 112-89 lead with nine minutes remaining. Jokic then hit two big shots – including a jumper and free throw – to give Denver its advantage with five seconds remaining.

At the conclusion of the game, tensions flared when Yanic Konan Niederhauser, Kris Dunn and Bennedict Mathurin from Los Angeles collided with Jonas Valanciunas of Denver after he had been fouled, leading to three technical fouls for them and giving Jokic two free throws which he successfully converted – helping the Nuggets hold off a late surge and win by one point.

Jamal Murray scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Denver without starting forwards Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Peyton Watson (back). Kyle Lowry of the Clippers contributed 23 points despite playing without Kawhi Leonard, who is nursing a strained left shoulder, or Bradley Beal due to a fractured hip.

Bennedict Mathurin scored 38 points in his Los Angeles home debut and the Clippers easily defeated Denver to win their seventh straight game.

Nikkoloa Jokic recorded 55 points, but that wasn’t enough to cause an upset as Jokic missed three free throws after getting fouled by Kris Dunn, Mathurin and Jonas Valanciunas under the basket.
